本期内容是“新生代的城市化观察与实践”系列第九篇，节选自2014年GSA（Global Schindler Award）全球大奖——大学生城市设计竞赛作品。

2014年GSA（Global Schindler Award）全球大奖——大学生城市设计竞赛中，由我院袁奇峰教授指导的中山大学和华南理工大学学生组成的联合项目小组的作品从250多份参赛作品中脱颖而出，获得Travel Grant.获得提名的共有12份参赛作品，来自：Bauhaus-Universität Weimar、Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences、New Jersey Institute of Technology、同济大学、天津大学等国内外知名大学。评审团由业内知名专家Peter Rowe，Matthias Sauerbruch、俞孔坚、刘珩、孟岩等组成。

BASE CHARACTERS

The answer is ‘Creative Production + Creative Consumption’.

Taking advantage of the current infrastructure mobility and creative industries, SQ can develop with Shenzhen and Luohu closely., meanwhile promoting SZ’s development and establishing the central status in the PRD.

PART2 DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES——WHAT DO WE DO TO REALISE OUR VISON?

DESIGN CONCEPT

Before designing SQ, we’ve been thinking -----1.What’s the development path of SQ and which is planned as kind of resources? 2.What role should the designated competition site of SQ?

The answers to the above questions is -----1.Turn SQ into a SELF-SUSTAINING CREATIVE ENGINE 2.Turn SQ into an EVERLASTING PRODUCTIVE ENGINE

01 FUNCTIONAL PLANNING

Initial function cells are scattered around,but creating new three-dimensional space based on original land use, can offer SQ more benefits than expected.

02 TRANSPORTATION PLANNING

Create a mobility circus to connect different cells in the three-dimensional space.

Establish a diverse, structured and multi-dimensional system to provide passages for the virtual contact as a integrated structural basis to realize mobility and high-efficiency.

03 BLOCK CULTIVATION

Organize activities in the built environment, including keeping the local residents and attracting migrants. We pay attention to the property rights and coordination of interest as well as lead those communities to participate in the reconstruction process independently.

MOBILITY SYSTEM

Elevators, escalators and stairs will be the channels connecting pedestrian systems in different planes, further help to form a fresh, complete mobile system.

Sustainable ecological system can never be neglected in a well – functioned city. Thus, our design has green infiltrate into SQ and expects interaction with SQ . We hope that the construction of ecological system will regulate the operation of SQ, just like the lubricant to the creative engine.
